This number has been rising steadily over the last few years, leaving our most vulnerable populations at increased risk. These uninsured, low income patients are left with no options as the emergency departments and urgent care facilities they frequent are not equipped to effectively treat the source of pain. Patients leave with large bills they’re unable to pay and prescriptions for pain medications that may leave them dependent, but with no improvement in their condition.
As a community, it is up to us to step up and care for those in need. Southwest Florida Free Pain Clinic is rewriting the paradigm and helping to restore hope for low income, uninsured patients through comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans using holistic, compassionate, and opioid-free care. Our clinic currently provides around $200,000 of free medical care to our patients every year. But we can and must do more – and we need your help.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and our free services are supported by and dependent on donations. To achieve our goal of becoming a permanent, full-time staffed clinic and eventually replicating numerous free clinics across the state, we need support from generous donors now more than ever.
You could be the one to provide our pain patients with the treatment they need and deserve. With monthly, weekly, and one-time gifts, lives will be changed through free medical care for people suffering from acute and chronic pain.
At just 26 years old, Danielle found herself crippled with pain on a daily basis. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, she would spend the next 20 years suffering from pain and bed-ridden most days.
In June of 2017, Danielle was referred to the Southwest Florida Free Pain Clinic and treated by a team of passionate volunteers and medical providers who focused on a holistic approach to treating her diagnoses. Within just 6 months, she went from barely getting up to move, to rarely feeling pain.
Today, Danielle is pain free and so grateful for the generosity of donors and volunteers who made it possible for her to regain her life!
